Kiss me, close your eyes, kiss me!

Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk
"Have you felt silk lately?"

Watch in YouTube

Cadbury seemed to have gone all out and after this years holiday season and for good reason, the festivities mood being a time for the confectionery giant to be celebrating too. Cadbury has given us memorable ads in the past, including my first ever memories of falling in love with a commercial: the girl dancing at the cricket match.

There was also the Cadbury gorilla advert, the one with the build up and that cracking 'In The Air Tonight' rollout.

More recently they have demonstrated a want to itch something in everyones mind by going after everybody they can go after. They have the college romance, the drama and something for our parents' generation. They also have something for the office goers and finally they have the one for the award, which is the most lovable ad I've seen in a while.

The ad has been treated really well. They have got the look and feel of the commercial also very right. They even got it going with a nice tune. The ad features three young women, two young urban girls (very pretty, BTW), who have it down to their roots with expressing themselves with their art form (Bharatanatyam) and all that, and one not-so-today-dedicated-motivated girl who wants to do as mama told her to. The dedicated girl just wants to dance and is already on stage waiting for her fellow dancers, who are completely succumbed to the delicious goodness of the gooey silk like milk chocolate. The girls are just having fun and they have brought out that element very well. These are fun girls they've showcased, not skanks who have waist sizes smaller than the circumference of their head and watch every little thing they eat cos it would effect their skankness more than it already seems to have. They've managed to put a cherry on top of the ice by adding the whole messiness factor. Come on, we all want to see that, there is something about it, isn't it? Beautiful girls dressed ornately beautifully (which is an exemplification of the time put behind it) for an event, followed by an act of regarding lesser for the event and losing yourself to temptation, messily. Oh yeah, definitely. Very well done Ogilvy!
